Employees raise $53,476 for Operation: Tohidu

SMECO employees held two fund raising events and donated $53,476 to Melwood's Operation: Tohidu in December. The employees raised this money through the SMECO 75 Bike Ride held in June and the SMECO Annual Charity Golf Outing in October. The events are supported by a group of volunteers, vendors, and the SMECO executive team.

Tampering with an electric meter is not safe

Scholarships available for high school seniors

SMECO is offering $1,500 college scholarships to four high school seniors who are graduating in 2017 and who live with parents or guardians who are SMECO customers. The deadline for all completed scholarship applications to be received is April 3, 2017.

Update your mailing address to ensure you get your annual meeting ballot

In 2016, SMECO customer-members voted to amend the bylaw that positions SMECO to conduct voting by mail. Beginning in 2017, all members will receive a ballot in the mail, and all ballots must be returned by mail prior to the annual meeting. Please make sure SMECO has your correct mailing address so you receive your ballot.

You can call 1-888-440-3311 to update your mailing address or you can use Account Manager online. To use Account Manager, click on "Sign In" at Log in with your password and user name. (If you don't already have your Account Manager set up, click new user to begin the setup process.) Select "View/Update Account Info" at the top right and update your information.
